The Community Loan Center of America’s mission is to promote and expand the Community Loan Center Program as an alternative to high priced small dollar loans.  Our goal is to create and expand social enterprises that provide workers access to credit that is fairly priced.    

CLC America is operated by Texas Community Capital (TCC).  TCC is a non-profit lending intermediary providing loan products and development services to Texas CDCs, CDFIs and other community development organizations.

Operating as the Community Loan Center of America, we are proud to provide affordable small dollar loans through a network of local lenders who engage employers to offer loans to their employees at no cost to the employer.

As network administrator of the Community Loan Center Affordable Small-Dollar Loan Program (CLC), TCC has fostered more than 152,000 transactions as alternatives for expensive payday and auto title loans through CLC Local Lenders.  These CLC affiliates have lent out over $150 million to Texans needing access to credit which has saved our borrowers more than $91 million, compared to traditional payday and auto title loans. 

The first Community Loan Centers outside of Texas began operating in June 2016.
